The Kooma Mail website is a 2-man team made up of Aaron & Chisako. The project began in March 2020, with the site being founded a few month later in August. It continues to be actively maintained and updated with new content.

Website Founder & Editor – Guides & Articles
Aaron is 28 years old, and a recent graduate of MIT Sloan’s partner program in Malaysia.
He previously worked for the international innovation platform Plug & Play as a Japanese Partnerships Manager for their Smart Health & Money Practice. While there, he directly supported over 20 major Japanese MNCs in reforming their global innovation efforts. This included bringing major partner projects to fruition, including the following 2, highlighted in the below case studies:

Prior to this, he graduated from UC Berkeley studying Political Science, before joining the JET Program. He started studying Japanese in the Summer of 2016, and has spent time living in Japan, in addition to Malaysia, Singapore, Spain & Peru. In that time, he received the JLPT N1 certification, and completed a 3-year long Kanji training course.
He is originally from the San Fransisco Bay Area in California.
Chisako
Website Co-Founder – Backend Developer, Email Database Manager
Chisako is 35 years old, and is currently a student at San Francisco State University, studying for her Masters of Science in Business Analytics. Prior to this, Chisako was a Senior Software Engineer for the Japanese department store, ISETAN MITSUKOSHI, in their System Solutions subsidiary. In this role, she was responsible for systems that tracked and maintained inventory for over 20 million different SKUs. Chisako was born and raised in Central Tokyo, Japan.
